Mission

To promote the reform of the criminal legal system through monitoring and changing Vermont laws that promote mass incarceration and excessive punishment. As humanitarians we work to expose current prison policies that are not being followed, or that need to be changed. Through education to lawmakers, and the public, work to create transparent systems that have real oversight, accountability, and sustainability. To be advocates for the human rights of vulnerable populations who have an intersection with the law.

Vision

To build an advocacy network that can influence legislation to any criminal legal reform that does not support our communities, our inmates, reentry, people on parole or probation, or other marginalized groups that may be targets of unfair policing and laws.
